We are looking for an experienced Director of Brand Marketing who combines a compelling product-marketing background with strong execution skills to successfully grow our free-to-play mobile and web games.   Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Director of Brand Marketing is the quarterback for Disruptor Beam’s Publishing team on one or more titles, responsible for understanding the product’s audience and competitors; formulating, communicating and leading the execution of programs that drive awareness, acquisition, retention and referral; and using consumer insight to help guide the direction of the product as part of a game’s leadership team. The successful candidate will have a rich understanding of human-software interaction and will be highly effective at communicating complex information using simple aesthetics. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is capable of navigating within a large development team to get things done with a strong desire to exceed expectations. Utilize traditional art training and knowledge of animation and computer graphics software to produce animations, thumbnails, storyboards and blocking animation.  Excellent reading and comprehension skills in order to fully understand complex process description documents, design documents, and written assignments.    The ability to communicate effectively one-on-one with all team members and within group settings.  Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to take complex design documents and create achievable plans for converting to animated assets.  Excellent time management skills, with the ability to break down tasks and assignments and prioritize them into workable pieces on a daily, weekly, and project length basis.  Work independently and conscientiously with minimal supervision.  Able to manage long-term projects, creating and following a comprehensive schedule for the creation of complex assets such as game levels, animation systems, character systems, etc.  Able to complete tasks and assignments quickly with little need for iterative rework. Primary Responsibilities Work with designers, artists and engineers to dream up new characters and behaviors Rig, skin, and animate in 2D and 3D at expert level Create facial animation rigs and controls Create and maintain animation networks Give and receive constructive criticism and raise Demiurge's internal artistic bar Qualifications Demonstrably excellent sense of timing and weight Skilled with industry tools: 3D Studio Max, Character Studio, Maya 2+ years game industry employment Portfolio or demo reel that demonstrates breadth of skill, styles, genres Excellent personal, written and verbal communication Must be eligible to work in United States Preference given for Experience with Spine 2d or equivalent animation package Experience creating other game assets (models, textures, etc) Traditional concept art and fine art skills Shipped mobile titles BFA (or higher) Outside interests!
